The Spring Festival also referred to as the Lunar New Year, is a significant celebration for the Chinese community and is marked by various cultural activities and light shows throughout the country. This year, the festival was observed from Sunday to Sunday and featured different cultural events in various regions of China. In Puning County, located in Jieyang City of Guangdong province, the Yingge dance was performed, a traditional folk dance that has been passed down for centuries and combines elements of dance, Chinese martial arts, and Chinese opera. In Gaoping City of Shanxi province, performers dressed as characters from the famous Chinese novel Journey to the West, Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie (Pigsy), entertained the audience with their antics.
